How to Choose The Best 4K or HDTV

TV shopping can be confusing. Because there are so many product that offer different feature and performance. Everyone can easily get lost when it comes to choosing the right product. This guide will help you identify every feature you need with the best balance of performance and price point.

Price

Every massive TV product with the best feature and performance are very good choice for everyone, but it doesn’t matter if you can’t afford to buy it. This is the idea of what you’ll be spending.

You can get a large 1080p (around 50-60 inch) around $500-$1000, you can choose what suit your need. But, every product have different feature and price point, so choose wisely. If you choose 4K, the entry-level TVs that are actually worth it start around $800-$900. If you choose the big one, you can get a 60-inch 4K TV with the best feature and performance for atleast $1500-$1600.

Size

Picking the right size can be confusing. While a TV may look huge and big, it could look smaller in your living room or rest room, actually it depends how far you’ll be sitting to watch you TV.

Before look at TVs, it is always good to take a few moments just to measure how far the TV will be from where you sit. You can also use measuring tape to mesure your sitting distance from TV.

Go 4K or Not

Its always good when it comes to to choose between 4K or HD 1080p. Of course we all know 4K is much better because it has 4000 horizontal pixels and 3840x2160 resolution which is really good. But the question is do you need to affor 4K ? The answer depends on what do you have now.

If everything you have can only output max 1080p, then probably you don’t need to afford 4K. But if you’re planning to upgrade in near future, getting a 4K TV or 4K UHD TV may make sense to you.

Refresh Rate

If you’re a gamer this might be what you looking for to get the best performance. But keep in mind most TV are not optimized for gaming, but for watching movie instead. There are many TVs advertise high Refresh Rates like 120Hz or 240Hz, which is very good for reducing motion blur, but for gaming it doesn’t help at all.

This feature however, is limited for console gaming like Playstation 4 and
Xbox One which is 60 fps (frame per second). Even if you enable 120Hz or 240Hz, your console will always draw the same frame rate.

If you consider TVs with 120Hz or 240Hz for reducing motion blur in movies and TV channels, keep in mind because this feature can generate side effect like some movies look speed up and it is really annoying to watch. But don’t worry because this feture can easily disabled.

But how about PC gamer ? If you have a PC that can handle the output more than 60 fps, you can easily take advantage of this feature. But, TVs Response Time will getting slower than any other gaming monitors.

Other Features
The other features for you to focus on are a slew od Smart TV options and various audio and video ports. You can choose one that fits all you needs but you need to know that the Smart TV part won’t be updated as quickly as an external box like Amazon Fire TV or Android TV. External box usually works better than built in features.

And my final advice is that you need to pick a TV that fits your need. As a gamer you can choose a TVs with high Refresh Rate or image quality, and if you want to choose a TVs for watching movie and TVs channels, the best you need to choose is 4K or 4K UHD TVs, because it offers high resolution and the best image quality.

If you looking for the best 1080p TV you can choose  LG 55EC9300. This TV features an OLED panel which is really good feature because you can get a really bright screen in daylight and also inky black in the dark room. With this feature this is the best you can afford to watching movie and TV channels.

When it comes to gaming a 4K TV will be perfect, not just it offers better image quality but also better motion, and streaming which is really good for gamer. You can get 55 inch 4K TV from Vizio VIZIO M55C2 for under $900.
